Region Athletics

On Friday the 12th of October over 60 students competed in the Eastern Metropolitan Region Athletics. It was a fantastic day, with strong competition and great sportsmanship on display from all the schools that attended.

We had Ringwood students competing in a large number of events and thanks to this involvement we were able to come second in the overall Region results behind Brentwood Secondary and ahead of Balwyn High School. A great result.

Congratulations to all the students on their participation and performances.

Special mention to Samantha Olsen who broke the record for the girls 400m with a time of 57.21sec. She beat the previous record of 57.90 sec that had stood since 1981.  WOW!!

State Athletics is on the Monday the 22nd of October
