National Science Week

National Science Week
National Science Week is fast approaching, and will be held in Weeks 5 and 6 of Term 3.
Staughton College is set to continue on the fun from last year, with Year 7 students hatching and raising chickens again! In addition, teachers are hosting a number of exciting lunchtime activities to immerse students in their scientific studies.
The popular 'Staff verses Student' Science debate will be back, as well as our ‘Dissections in the Yard’ and the great ‘QR Code Scavenger Hunt’.
The theme for National Science Week this year is Drones, Droids and Robots. So with help from the technology department, we are excited to have added an Introduction to Robotics lunchtime class, where students can have a go at programing robots to follow their commands!
We are expecting a great turn out, with a lot of student interest so far. Make sure you follow the bulletin and newsletter for the days of each of these activities.
