Sr Margot Crowther RSCJ
As reported in the previous edition of Esprit de Coeur, Sr Margot Crowther RSCJ passed away on 3 March 2020.
Moya Henderson (1958) remembers that Margot was one of the Sacré Cœur Order’s finest religious and was able attend the funeral and offer this recollection:
I was at Sister Margot’s funeral at Kincoppal-Rose Bay on Tuesday 10 March 2020. It was a beautifully organised occasion. Principal Maureen Ryan and her admirable Head of Mission, John Mooney, along with the school’s music master, Mark Stubbly, managed all aspects of the requiem Mass with utmost tenderness and professionalism. There were two eulogies: one given my Margot’s niece, Margot Jackson, and the other delivered by Sister Mary Shanahan, a contemporary of Margot and also a Queenslander. These were the special moments of the Mass.
