Join a Sub-Committee of the School Board

Community Relations Sub-Committee

Sacré Cœur is in the midst of exciting times as the School secures its future, continuing to realise its purpose – to educate and empower our women to make a profound contribution to the world.

In 2019 we launched our fresh new brand identity, started construction of our new STEAM learning facility and completed the new uniform changeover. In 2020 we have a refreshed focus on community development and philanthropy with our new Advancement Manager starting in March this year, and we continue to evolve our marketing and engagement strategies.

The Community Relations Sub-Committee of the School Board supports the Community Relations Office in the delivery of these important projects across marketing, admissions, philanthropy and community development.

Two new positions

The Sub-Committee is looking for two new members, ideally with skills and experience in marketing, philanthropy and/or community development. We envision the skill set of the new members to be based in one of either, or both, of these skills sets:

  1. Digital engagement and marketing; or
  2. Generalist marketing, philanthropy or community development.

We are looking for new members from across a spectrum of experience. We envision one of the roles taken up by a more senior manager (10 years plus) and the other by someone in the development stage of their career (5 years plus).

Joining the Community Relations Sub-Committee is a strong initial step in a journey to joining a Board and develop an understanding of Board processes and functions. Joining the Sub-Committee is also an ideal opportunity to contribute to a community based organisation. whilst further developing already held skills and knowledge.

We are warmly invite Alumnae to join the Committee. With fresh ideas embedded in a deep knowledge of the School, the Sub-Committee sees past Sacré Cœur students as an important addition.

The committee typically meets four times a year at the School on a Friday at 8am.
