Schools Spectacular Secondary Choir

On Friday 21 October the students involved in the Schools Spectacular combined choir had this first rehearsal. It was very successful, and we are getting excited for the performances in Week 7.

Killara Chamber Orchestra

On Wednesday 26 October the Killara High School Orchestra performed in The Arts Unit Festival of Choral Music at the Town Hall. The performance was excellent. Congratulations to all the students involved on such a successful evening.

Stage Band 2 Channel 9 (almost) live cross

On Wednesday 3 November Killara High Schools Stage Band 2 combined with Lindfield East Public Schools Stage Band to perform "Eye of the Tiger" for The Today Show Tim's Weather School on Channel 9. 

Unfortunately as we were ready to perform for our segment, the Lions from Taronga Zoo had escaped their enclosures. This meant that we were not able to have our live cross. Maybe the Lions were jealous of our band giving all the attention to the Tigers. Even though it didn't eventuate the way we would have liked, it was an amazing experience and very rewarding to play with Lindfield East PS Stage Band again. 

KSP visit to Beaumont Road Public School

On Thursday 3 November Stage Band 2 visited Beaumont Road Public School for a combined rehearsal and performance. Students performed "Uptown Funk" as a combined band followed by KHS Stage Band 2 presenting a couple of pieces to a very excited audience. Thank you to Beaumont Rd PS for creating such an exciting event for our students.
