Visual Arts Workshop - Year 3

On Wednesday 2 November Killara High School welcomed a group of primary students from Beaumont Road Public School, Lindfield Public School and Killara Public School to take part in an exciting clay workshop. The hands-on experience gave the students a chance to see what happens in the high-school art program with the assistance of four Year 9 art mentors and Mrs Berry. "I love this art workshop!" - Year 3 student from Beaumont Road Public School.

All the students made a set of two ceramic bowls and a plate imprinted with various botanicals, using a process that involved cutting a circle out of clay, rolling leaves onto a slab and pressing it into a shape. The ceramics will be sent to the student's schools once they have been fired and glazed. It was a wonderful experience for all involved.
