Keynote speaker Tracey Spicer will discuss what having a voice means to women and the importance of encouraging women to develop and stand true in their experiences.
Tracey Spicer AM BBus (Comm) GAICD is a multiple Walkley Award winning author, journalist and broadcaster who has anchored national programs for ABC TV and radio, Network Ten and Sky News. Tracey's work in the development of the #MeToo Movement in Australia is about having a voice and the impact that can have in the broader community.
Following Tracey’s presentation there will be a panel discussion and questions from the audience. Panel members include:

- Ivana Lam - Year 10 student Killara High School
Issues to be discussed:
- Can women stand up for their rights without consequences?
- What are the great challenges and opportunities facing women in Australia?
- How do international movements like the events in Iran and Afghanistan impact on Australia's position on women's rights?
- What will gender equality look like in the future and how do we support the next tier of women leaders?

Seeking Youth Brass and Percussion Players
Long-running Northern Beaches community band, Warringah Concert Brass, is reforming our Youth Brass Band for a special concert in November, and we're looking for brass and percussion players to join us.
Join Warringah Concert Brass and guest trombone soloist, Richard Shirley (of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra) for a celebration of Australian brass band music. Best suited for players at Grade 4 AMEB/Trinity level and above, but those of lower grades are also encouraged to come along.
