Don't forget to apply!

If you have a child starting in Foundation in 2026 YOU MUST APPLY ONLINE.

Enrolment is not automatic if you have older students enrolled at Karoo - a separate application must be submitted following the instructions below.  Applications are open from Tuesday 22nd April - Friday 25th July 2025.

2026 Foundation Enrolments - Applications Open 

Have a child starting Foundation in 2026 and not sure what to do?

• Enrolment packs can be collected from the office (includes a quick reference guide for the new process)
• Parents submit an enrolment application online through VicStudents portal.
• Applications close Friday 25th July 2025.
• Parents are notified of the outcome of your application on Monday 28th July (simply log back in to your VicStudents parent portal and follow the prompts to accept the offer by Friday 22nd August).
• Take part in Enrolment Information & Transition Sessions during Term 4 (see dates below).
• Prepare your child to start Foundation (Prep) from early February 2026 (start date to be confirmed).

Enrolment applications submitted after 25th July 2025 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Placement Policy.

Transition @ Karoo

We are holding the following transition sessions for students enrolled in Foundation at Karoo in 2026, where they will 'discover and learn' in the Foundation environment and are introduced to school life.

Session 1:  Wednesday 29th October 2025

Session 2:  Wednesday 12th November 2025

Session 3:  Tuesday 25th November 2025

Session 4:  Tuesday 9th December 2025   (State wide Foundation Orientation Day)
