School Crossing

Dangerous practices around our School Crossings
It has come to our attention that the drop off and pick up times are becoming a safety concern for students, especially those using our manned school crossings. The safety of our students, parents and School Crossing Supervisors is a high priority for us, and we urge parents/carers to do the right thing.
Parent/carers are not using the 2 minute parking bays correctly - it is intended to be a 'drop and go' zone. Please do not leave your car to walk your child into school as this takes longer than 2 minutes!
Please do not double park if the 2 minute parking is full - move on safely to find an available car park.
Stopping your vehicle on, or parking across, a manned school crossing is strictly prohibited - the school crossing supervisor is not permitted to walk students across the road when the crossing is obstructed by vehicles, due to safety risks.
DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH THE SCHOOL CROSSING WHEN THE SCHOOL CROSSING SUPERVISORS ARE ESCORTING PEOPLE ACROSS THE ROAD.
Stay alert, keep your eyes on the road, obey the school crossing laws and keep our students and School Crossing supervisors safe!
