What's happening in Term 2

Premiers' Reading Challenge 2025

COMPETITION IS FIERCE!

The numbers are flying in as students continue to log their reading on the PRC website – and what an incredible effort it’s been so far! A huge congratulations to everyone taking part. It’s been amazing to see not only the number of books being read but also the thoughtful and creative reviews being submitted.

STATISTIC BOARD IS UP

Keep an eye on the PRC statistics board, which will soon be updated with the latest totals, including how many books have been read, which classes are in the lead, and which students are topping the charts. Will your name be up there?   Also, there is a display of Challenge and Choice books to help you choose.

We’re so proud of the dedication our students have shown. The enthusiasm, commitment, and love of reading across the school has been inspiring. Keep reading, keep reviewing, and most importantly keep logging those books to win prizes!

HOW MANY BOOKS HAVE BEEN READ?

The total will be updated every Monday, Wednesday and Friday on the library windows as well as the PRC board inside the library.    Keep an eye out to see if your class can take the lead!

WHO HAS READ THE MOST?

 Missing overdue books

There are quite a few library books have gone missing recently with some students aren't quite sure where theirs have ended up! We kindly ask families to help their children search at home for any overdue books.

Reminder notices will be sent home as needed. If a book cannot be found, families may be asked to cover the cost of a replacement.

Library open early on Wednesdays

To make returns easier, the library will now be open every Wednesday before school for

 students to return overdue books.

Of course, students can still return books on their regular library day, this is just an extra opportunity in case it slips your mind! Thank you for helping us take care of our library collection.

Lost and Found Book Marks

Have you accidentally left a bookmark in a book you returned? We’ve found quite a few bookmarks tucked inside returned books, and they’re waiting to be reunited with their owners! Pop by and see me—your lost bookmark might just be here, ready to go home!

Library Access during Breaks

Don’t forget—the library is open during breaks at 12:00 PM and 2:20 PM, and we love seeing students coming in to read, colour, or relax.

Just a quick reminder, if the "At Capacity" sign is out and the door is blocked, please don’t enter. The space can only safely hold a certain number of students at a time, and we appreciate everyone's help in keeping things safe and comfortable for all.

Thanks for your understanding and keep enjoying the library!
