Dear Karoo PS Community,
Karoo Primary School is a community and inclusion focused school, which continues to be responsive to the needs of our students. To ensure that our students have access to continued best practice teaching & learning opportunities and excellent facilities, each year we engage in fundraising. Karoo PS’s previous fundraising efforts have resulted in the upgrading of our large artificial turf area, the inclusion of a futsal court, Gaga Pit and outdoor kitchen garden classroom space. These outcomes have been the result of collaboration between parents and the school, with our students and their needs at the forefront of our actions.
To support our fundraising vision for 2025, we are calling for community feedback on our next fundraising focus. We have surveyed our students, KPA and staff and as a result have a number of areas to focus on and we are asking for you to cast your vote to decide what it will be! To vote, please complete the google form below and select your preferred fundraising focus for 2025. Please complete the form by Wednesday the 25th of June!
In 2025, Karoo PS’s major fundraising event will be our Karoo PS Karnival, which will have amusement rides, food trucks, barista coffee, stalls, activities and performances highlighting the skills and talents of our students and community.
The carnival will be held on Friday 7th November from 1pm – 6pm in the grounds of Karoo Primary School and will be open to all of our local community. We ask you to share with friends and family and all SAVE the DATE for a fantastic day!!
To ensure that our major fundraising event, the KPS Karnival, is a sensational success we are looking for supportive and generous sponsors or community members to make donations to support the event.
To express your interest in sponsoring the event or donating to the event to support enhancing the learning environment for our students, please share your interest through the survey below. We look forward to working together and promoting your generosity!
We can't wait to see everyone at the KPS Karnival!
We’re delighted to introduce a new section into our newsletter: Student Voice. This section is dedicated to sharing the thoughts, reflections, and experiences of our students. Whether it’s a classroom moment, a personal reflection, or a view on the world beyond school, Student Voice is a platform for our students to be seen and heard. We wanted to share a moment that captures the kind of thoughtful voices we hope to highlight, therefore, please make your way to our Student Voice page to learn about Viaan, from 3/4C, taking action to make a difference in our community.
It has come to the attention of the school that road safety during pick up and drop off time is concerning to our school community.
Therefore, to ensure the safety of our students and families please ensure the following:
Thank you for your continued support in ensuring the safety of our community.
