🌿Welcome Back – Term 2! 🌿

Welcome back to the start of Term 2! With ANZAC Day falling in our first cycle of cooking, we took the opportunity to respectfully acknowledge this important occasion through our Kitchen Garden program.

👩‍🍳 ANZAC Biscuit Baking

Students worked collaboratively to bake four beautiful variations of ANZAC biscuits, exploring both traditional flavours and creative twists. The kitchen was filled with wonderful aromas, thoughtful conversations and plenty of enthusiastic bakers.

The four recipes we prepared were:

  • Classic ANZAC Biscuits
  • ANZAC Biscuits with Burnt Butter, Honey and Rosemary
  • ANZAC Biscuits with Cranberries and Pepitas
  • Apple & Cinnamon ANZAC Biscuits

🍪 About ANZAC Biscuits

ANZAC biscuits are a traditional Australian and New Zealand recipe linked to ANZAC Day on 25 April. They date back to World War I, when families baked them to send to soldiers overseas, as the ingredients travelled well and did not spoil easily. ANZAC biscuits are made without eggs and use simple pantry staples such as oats, flour, sugar, butter, golden syrup and coconut.
