Education Week

Brookside will be celebrating Education Week from May 18th to May 22nd. The theme for this year is "Showcase Your School" encouraging schools to hold open days and celebrate their unique community, staff, and learning opportunities.

Brookside parents and guardians will once again be invited into P-6 classrooms, where they will have the opportunity to participate in learning activities with their children.

Parents of students in Years 7-9 will also be invited to attend a special lesson with their children.

Keep an eye on Compass for more information regarding dates and times soon.

Parent Teacher Student Conferences:

On Thursday 23 April Brookside held our Parent Teacher Student Conferences. A big thank you to all the students and families that met both online and in person. Also, thank you to all of the amazing staff here at Brookside. It was great to hear all the positive discussions around the progress of our students.

School Gates Closed at 9.00am

Please be advised that all gates around the school will be closed as of 9am each morning - staff will not hold gates open after this time to allow students/parents/carers to enter.

All students who arrive after 9am must attend the front office to check in and parents/carers must vacate the grounds by 9am. Students in Year 7-9 will receive a late pass which must be presented to their teacher on arrival to class.

Please remember that the Brookside school day begins at 8:50am.

It is expected that all students attend Homegroup from this time, so that they can begin their day in a positive and consistent manner. Lateness to school can cause disruptions to the learning of the child who is late, as well as the learning of the other children in the class.

We thank you for your assistance and support with this matter.

We hope you have a wonderful weekend!
