"Big Moments From a Big Term!"
This term has been packed with exciting learning, proud achievements and memorable moments. Our Year 3/4 students have shown enthusiasm, resilience and teamwork as they tackled new challenges and celebrated their growth.
Here are some of our Big Moments from a Big Term!
This term I have enjoyed learning about Performing Arts because I love singing and dancing.
I am looking forward to the 3/4 Briars Camp because there will be heaps of fun activities and lots of time to spend with my friends.

This term I have enjoyed learning Maths because I am improving on my place value and partitioning big numbers.
I am looking forward to the transition (finding out my new classroom teachers) between new classes because I’m excited to learn about my new teachers.

I am looking forward to camp because I can enjoy doing new activities with my friends.

I have enjoyed participating in sport because I like learning about Fitness Freaks and other sports because I like doing sports.
I am looking forward to going to camp because last year it was on my birthday and it was fun sleeping with friends and we ate lots of lollies at night, stayed up late and had cake.

This term I have enjoyed learning the words to our song for the carols night because I love performing with my friends and making up the dance moves together as a team. Also I have enjoyed borrowing and reading new books after recess and lunch, such as The Grace and the World's Worst series.
I am looking forward to 3/4 Briars camp because it is a good opportunity to get to know your classmates better, enjoy doing fun activities and you get to make amazing memories. Also I am excited for transition because I get to find out my new teachers and classmates and I will be with some new people and some friends in the grade above me.

This term, I have enjoyed learning about Italian because it's helping me learn more about the country, language and culture. It has lots of fun activities and big challenges, but because of that I am really good at Italian. In Italian we also draw, write, type and learn.
This term I am looking forward to 3/4 camp because it’s a chance to spend more time with your friends. It’s really fun and I loved it last year. Most of all we get to try new things and food.

This term I have enjoyed Science because we have been coding games and also making lego robotics. I enjoyed building lego robotics because we made a big bus with my friends and also coded it so it could move and make sounds. I enjoyed making games on Scratch in Science too because we write our names with block letters, we can make the letters move and in the background we can make sounds and make songs. I find it very fun and interesting.
I am looking forward to 3/4 camp at the Briars because last year I had lots of fun at camp as we got to go kayaking and also have a really fun disco party. I have also seen the place where our cabins are and it looks really exciting.

This term I enjoyed reading and learning about the book ‘The BFG’, because I thought it was very interesting.
I am looking forward to camp because I can't wait to do the activities with my friends, sleep in a new place and go on new adventures.

This term I have enjoyed coding because it was so much fun coding a car on a game called Acceleration City to fly off the map in a few seconds and break the game! I had to restart the game after that.
I am looking forward to camp at Briars because I have never done camp before and I’ve heard it's really fun! I am also looking forward to the 3/4 Friendly Games because I like playing sport and will enjoy playing with my friends.

This term I have enjoyed learning Italian because we got to do a project about places in Italy like the Leaning tower of Pisa. We have to search up interesting facts then type them in Google Slides. We had to name it Andiamo in Italia, which means ‘Let’s go to Italy’. I finished in only 2 sessions!
This term I'm looking forward to the 3/4 camp at the Briars because I get to camp with all my friends. You get to go canoeing and I've never gone canoeing before. I am also looking forward to performing at the carols because I like our song, it’s called Like its Christmas.

This term I have enjoyed learning about 3D Objects because now I know the difference between a pyramid and a prism. I have also enjoyed reading our novel “The BFG” because it’s a good book. I like learning how the BFG speaks and how he is the Big Friendly Giant.
I am looking forward to 3/4 Briars Camp because I think it will be fun and we get to be in a cabin with our friends. I'm also looking forward to the swimming program because I like to swim and it shows one of my talents.

This term I have enjoyed learning our Christmas Carols in Performing Arts because I love performing with my friends and singing different songs. I have also enjoyed fitness freaks which we do at the start of our sport lessons. I enjoy it because we get to learn different fitness skills and get warm and ready for our sport lessons.
I am looking forward to our 3\4 Briars Camp because I am excited to spend lots of time with my friends, finding out about our cabins and who's in them and doing lots of different and fun activities with different people from my class. I am also excited about doing 3\4 Beach Day because we will learn different skills for safety around the water by doing activities.

This term I’m looking forward to the 3/4 Briars camp because I’m excited to have a camp with the year 3s and also because I’m excited for the activities. Some of the activities are Giant swing and kayaking. I’m also excited about spending time with my friends and being in a cabin with about five of my friends.
This term I've enjoyed sport because I love doing Fitness Freaks and Cricket. I like doing cricket because it is so much fun and I have so much fun playing Cricket with my friends in sport. I enjoy Fitness Freaks because I think running is amazing and a lot of fun. At the end of the year the top seven people in each class from three to six with the most points will get a medal. Each sport lesson we do fitness freaks and we do running, pushups and stretches. Mrs Todd gives out ten points to students who are putting in effort, being focused and doing the proper technique.

This term I have enjoyed learning in Performing Arts because I get to learn different moves and learn more songs like up on the roof top . We also got to learn Christmas Carols
I am looking forward to 3/4 Briars camp because we get to do fun games like canoeing, big swing, bush walking and then have a big dinner and have a sleepover with my friends.

This term I have enjoyed learning in Visual Arts because it was very fun and relaxing. My favourite thing about visual arts is drawing a self-portraits of my friends. I have learnt how to draw the eyes of self-portraits in visual arts.
I am looking forward to going to the 3/4 Briars Camp because I can’t wait to do fun activities with my friends and sleep in a cabin all together.

This term I have enjoyed learning about Italian by doing the slides, spelling words and getting the font I have and the background on my Italian slides.
This term I'm excited for camp with Myles because I am going canoeing and on the Giant Swing. Hopefully we will be going mud jumping at the Briars and hopefully I will be in the same cabin as Myles.

This term I have enjoyed playing cricket in sport because I am learning new skills so that I can get better at the sport and I get to hang out with my friends.
This term I am looking forward to camp because I get to spend a night with my friends and do lots of activities such as the Giant Swing and Canoeing.

This term I have enjoyed District Athletics because I like running and I came 6th against the other runners. I have also enjoyed sports this term because I have been with my friends. My favourite sport is football because I am good at it.
I am looking forward to camp because I am going to be in the same cabin as all my friends and I get to go kayaking. I am also very excited for 3/4 friendly games, we get to play against Sorrento Primary.

This term I have enjoyed learning about Science because we have been doing robotics. We had three in each group and my group built a machine where you pull back a lever that then pushes a ball.
I am looking forward to the 3/4 Briars Camp because there will be great activities and heaps of time with my friends.

This term I have enjoyed learning about our reading novel for this term which is The BFG. I have enjoyed reading that book because we get to do heaps of fun activities and we also got to draw a picture of The BFG and Sophie. This term I have enjoyed learning in Performing Arts because we have been doing our Christmas Carols. Soon we will be performing our Christmas Carols in front of the school and our parents and I am so excited to perform.
I’m looking forward to 3/4 Briars camp because I get to have my friends in a cabin and I get to do heaps of fun activities like canoeing, bush walks and big swings. We also get to have a big dinner with my friend and have a big sleep over.

This term I have enjoyed coding because learning to code has been very enjoyable for me, also because in Acceleration City on hour of code I managed to throw my cobot off the car. It was so funny watching it flip around so much because of such a powerful code that I couldn't use the code anymore.
I am looking forward to the swimming program because at the beginning of the year we got to have free swimming lessons. I like water and I want to be a strong swimmer.

This term I have enjoyed writing because we have been learning about persuasive writing. When writing a persuasive essay you get to choose what side you are on and make reasons for your opinion, for example I think dogs are better than cats because they are cute and cuddly and they give you attention and all cats do is sleep.
I am looking forward to the 3/4 Briars Camp because we will get to do canoeing, have a sleepover, bushwalking and having lots of fun with my friends.

This term I have enjoyed learning new exercises and techniques in fitness freaks in sport. It gets exhausting but I think it is a great way to exercise and have fun with other classmates. We have been doing it the whole year. We get points if we are doing the correct technique and at the end of the year you can win a medal. I am looking forward to camp at the Briars because it has a Giant swing and chickens everywhere and I love chickens. The cabins are the best part about camp, along with having most of my friends in the same cabin. I am also looking forward to 3/4 friendly games and transitions because I get to see my other friends.

This term I have enjoyed participating in PE because I have learnt lots of new fun games and playing with my friends. I have enjoyed exercising and getting my knee more fit, having a lot of fun, making my legs more springy so I can intercept more when I play basketball outside of school. Practicing these skills will make me faster. It is keeping me healthy and fit and it is also useful when you will grow because you will use your skills and it will be super helpful for myself.
I am looking forward to 3/4 Briars Camp because I will have a lot of fun with my friends and learning outside skills to keep me alive when I get lost in a place with no man made resources so I have to use Mothernature to keep me alive. Also having a sleepover with my friends in the cabin.

This term I have enjoyed Italian and learning about certain places like Colluseum in Rome, the gondolas in Venice, the leaning Tower of Pisa and il Vulcano. We put the information into google slides. You could choose which volcano and I chose il Vulcano.
This term I am looking forward to the year 3/4 camp going to the Briars, because I love the activities such as canoeing, zip lining and going in a cabin with some of my best friends.

I am looking forward to the school camp at the Briars because we get to do different, fun activities with my friends. I am also looking forward to the Friendly Games where I will be playing cricket.

This term I have enjoyed learning about fitness freaks in sport. We learn about how to keep fit. It is really fun doing it with all my friends and classmates. Sometimes it is tiring but it still is fun and I like doing the stretches. We get points if we try and then whoever is at the top of the list at the end of the year wins a medal.
I am looking forward to 3/4 Briars Camp because I love big swings. Sleeping in the cabins and all of the other activities will be really fun. I am really really excited for camp.

This term I have enjoyed learning about how to write fractions in different ways like ¼ , ¾, ⅕, ⅛. I have also enjoyed sport, I have been doing cricket, learning how to bowl and bat.
I am looking forward to the ¾ Briars Camp as it will be fun kayaking and hanging out with my friends. I am also looking forward to the ¾ Friendly Games as I will be playing cricket and cheering on my friends.
