Cricket Academy

Our Winter Indoor Program commenced in recent weeks with visits to Nimble Hits Stadium and Geelong Indoor Sports for competitive intra-academy scrimmaging. This will continue into Term 3, before shifting across to the practice facility at Barwon Regional Cricket Centre, where students will have access to specialist coaching (in addition to our teaching staff), as well as bowling machines and various other elite training aids. Students are encouraged to bring a packed lunch, snacks and water bottle, as well as their personal cricket equipment. Students are to meet outside the College Gymnasium in preparation for a prompt departure, and will be dismissed upon our return to Lara Station. All activity costs associated with this program are covered by the Cricket Academy levy. Please see Compass for further details.

Earlier in Term 2, representatives from both our Junior and Senior Cricket Academies participated in an Indoor Cricket Tournament held at Hoppers Indoor Sportz. Here, Lara SC took on Mickleham SC and St Francis SC, with our Junior Team securing convincing wins against both opponents, as well as a shortened final match against our Senior Team!
