Junior Years Report

As we reach the end of another busy and successful term, we would like to congratulate our Year 7–9 students on their outstanding efforts throughout Term Two.
We are incredibly proud of the way our students have demonstrated Lara Secondary College's values of Commitment, Excellence, Respect and Teamwork. This term, almost 4,000 Success Passes were awarded across Years 7–9, recognising the positive choices, hard work and contributions of our students. This is a fantastic achievement and reflects the strong culture of learning and growth within our Junior School.
We have also been impressed by the consistency of our students' entry and exit routines. Our data shows that junior students are meeting expectations each session, helping to create calm, purposeful learning environments where everyone can succeed.
As Semester One reports are finalised, we look forward to celebrating the academic achievements and growth of our students at our next whole-school assembly in Term 3. We encourage all students to reflect on their progress with their family and take pride in their efforts throughout the first half of the year.
A big congratulations goes to all students who have proudly represented Lara Secondary College in recent sporting opportunities, music events, Rugby and Cricket Academy activities, and cohort incursions. Your enthusiasm, commitment and willingness to get involved are valued contributions to our school community.
A special thank you also goes to our dedicated Year Level Coordinators, Ms Lowe, Ms Perkins and Pak Walker, who have worked tirelessly throughout the semester to support our students. Their dedication, care and leadership have played a significant role in fostering positive relationships, student wellbeing and a strong sense of belonging across the Junior School. We greatly appreciate the positive impact they have on the daily experiences and success of our students.
Thank you to our students, families and staff for another successful term. We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable break and look forward to supporting our students in making a smooth and positive start to Term 3.
Best wishes,
Lana Ryder and Lauren Gibson
