Swimming
Our swimming program at Eltham Leisure Centre has been keeping us busy over the past couple of weeks. I was so impressed with the behaviour and concentration during the lessons. The staff at the pool approached me and said the students were a delight to work with. At such a tiring time of year, students have shown resilience and perseverance to complete their final tasks.
We couldn't take photos during the lessons but we captured the enjoyment students had before and after swimming, while we waited for the Grade 2s. There was an outdoor water park, colouring and comfy beanbags to relax on.
Show and Tell
We were very lucky to have the opportunity to meet Clifford, Ivory's family goat. Clifford is 3 years old and likes to eat hay. He sleeps outside with Max the horse. We also met Ivory's dog Paddington and later, during a conversation on the bus to swimming, I learnt that Ivory's family also has a cat and 6 chickens!
Christmas Carols
Thank you to Mrs Bailey for helping us prepare for the ACPS Christmas Carols on the oval. How wonderful to have a performing arts teacher who helps the students write their own lyrics! Our buddies on the ukuleles lifted our performance and everyone involved had a great time.
Class Party
Prep C had a great time celebrating the end of the year at our class party. The students have had fun decorating the room and the table runner for the party food. Thank you to the parents for coordinating such a beautiful spread.
Thank you!
Thank you to all of the wonderful families I have had the opportunity to work with this year. I appreciate everyone's contributions in making this a successful and enjoyable year for all of the students. It enhances our programs when we have such terrific support from our families. It has been a full year and your assistance and participation in preparing for events such as our 100 days of school, Book Week, reading groups and our reading program, Athletics Day and Christmas Carols (just to name few!) has been incredible.
I would like to wish everyone a Happy Christmas and a fun summer holiday.
