Our Primary School Era

And just like that, the year 2024 is over. For our students in Grade 6, we wish you the very best for what the future holds. Good luck at your respective high schools and we look forward to hearing about all the wonderful adventures.

All students in Grade 5 and 6 should be proud of the school year we have had. From Interschool sports, Camp and Bike Ed, to amazing achievements in Numeracy and English. Everybody should be proud of their efforts this year.... Because we are. Good luck in 2025.

A Final Message from our 2024 School Leaders

On behalf of the School Captains, we would like to wish everyone all the best for high school next year.

We've had an incredible seven years at Andersons Creek Primary School, filled with laughter, learning, and friendship. From our first day of Prep to this momentous graduation, we’ve experienced a whirlwind of unforgettable moments – school camps, dress-up days, exciting excursions, and countless lessons learned.

Of course, our journey hasn't always been smooth sailing. We've faced challenges, such as remote learning and saying goodbye to friends and teachers. But through it all, we've grown stronger and more resilient.

As we walk out of these school gates for the final time, we want to express our sincere gratitude to our teachers, parent helpers, and principals. Your dedication and hard work have made our time at ACPS truly special. We wish the incoming Grade 6 students all the best for their year ahead.

Thank you, and farewell.

Grade 5 Term 4 Recap:

Term 4 has flown by in a flurry of exciting events, culminating in a fantastic finish to the school year. From splashing about in the pool to being incharge for a day, we've been busy learning, growing, and making memories. Let's take a look back at some of the highlights:

We kicked off the term with a splash, quite literally, with our swimming lessons. Then we turned the final page and reached the exciting conclusion of our class novel, Help around the house by Morris Glentman! We’ve been engrossed in the story for weeks, and it was thrilling to see how everything unfolded. There were gasps, cheers, and definently some laughs shared. We also got into our inner drama characters and perfomed some christmas inspired Readers Theatre. The grade 5 really do love getting into homemade paper costumes and putting on a show.

One of the most exciting parts of Term 4 has been meeting our buddies for 2025! We had a wonderful time getting to know the younger students, sharing stories, and making new friends. We even put together special buddy bags filled with treats and activities to welcome them to the school. We enjoyed a fun session of bracelet making with our buddies, creating colourful keepsakes to remember our time together.

The atmosphere was electric as our Year 5 students delivered their leadership speeches. Each speech was thoughtful, inspiring, and showcased the incredible talent within our cohort. The performances were fantastic, and we’re so proud of everyone who put themselves forward.

The 5/6 Water Fight was an absolute highlight of the term! On a hot day, there was nothing better than cooling off with a friendly water fight. There were squeals of laughter and lots of running around as we soaked our teachers and each other (with their permission, of course!).

Our Surf day was another unforgettable experience. We braved the waves, learned some new skills, and had a blast riding the surf. It was a fantastic opportunity to try something new and enjoy the beautiful coastline.

Our Day of Power was a huge success, filled with fun activities from Waffle making, basketball and dougeball torenments.

We wrapped up the term with some well-deserved class parties and KK celebrations. We enjoyed delicious treats, played games, and reflected on all the amazing things we’ve accomplished this year.

Term 4 has been a whirlwind of activity, filled with learning, laughter, and new friendships. We’ve achieved so much and created memories that will last a lifetime. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday break and look forward to seeing you all again next year!
