Art

In the artroom....
So many great artworks have been done by the students this semester! Here is a snapshot of what they have achieved towards the end of the semester...
Preps...
Our prep students made some giant spring flowers, and for Christmas they drew and painted a reindeer. They also made some Christmas puddings from paper magiclay, and had to mix some green and orange together to make the brown pudding base.
Grade 1 and 2 students made some Christmas angels who were joyfully singing some carols.
Grade 3 and 4 students have been busy sewing gingerbread houses using blanket stitch. A huge shout-out to Finn's grandma, Pam, for coming and helping the students in their art sessions with threading needles, getting back on track when needed, and tying knots.
Grade 5 students had fun with tie dye, sewing felt Christmas birds, and making clay Christmas bells.
A huge congratulations to Valentina, whose artwork was chosen by Nicole Werner MP for her Christmas card. Your artwork looked wonderful, Valentina!
Grade 6 students were busily working on their end of year watercolour artwork with Kim Miatke from Calla Collective in Warrandyte. The students gave this work much thought and effort, and they chose or created a quote that was memorable to them. The end results looked terrific.
We wish all our grade 6 students the very best with high school. May you continue to enjoy doing arty things and embracing all that life has to offer.
And finally, may you all have a joy-filled Christmas season and a wonderful holiday break.
