Principal's Report

Dear ACPS Community,
What a wonderful year 2024 has been! I have loved seeing our classrooms filled with curiosity, creativity, and perseverance as students embraced new challenges and grew in their knowledge, skills and learning confidence. Beyond the classroom, our students have shone in sports, the arts, and community events, demonstrating the commitment, connection, joy and kindness that fills our school. It really is such a privilege to be in this position where I feel and witness the energy, enthusiasm and exemplary character our our staff, students and families that make ACPS such a special place for our special little people to learn and grow.
Across the past few weeks, as the year has been drawing to a close, it has been great to come together at our end of year events to celebrate all we’ve achieved together. Our ACPS Carols was such a fantastic evening up on the oval watching our students put their all into filling the air with festive cheer through their beautiful performances. Our choir then shone brightly at the Warrandyte Carols, showcasing their talent and representing our school with pride.
The Grade 6 Graduation was incredible with so much care and attention to detail to send our students off in a manner they deserve and will always remember. We reflected on their primary school journey and celebrated their readiness for the exciting opportunities ahead. We will miss you dearly but we know you are ready to take on your new adventures. Finally, our End of Year Special Assembly gave us the perfect moment to reflect on the year’s highlights, recognise student achievements, enjoy two brilliant musical performances and say thank you to our departing School Council President - Jimmy Harris.
I want to thank every member of our school community for all that you do to contribute to our school. Our incredible staff, our hardworking students, and our supportive families. I am so proud of the growth and achievements I’ve seen in each and every student across 2024. To our continuing families, I look forward to welcoming you back in 2025 for another fantastic year. To those with graduating students moving on to secondary school, I wish you all the very best as you embark on this exciting new chapter.
I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas with your families. See you in the New Year.
