Year 12 Geography

As part of their assessment, Year 12 Geography students participated in a fieldwork trip to make geographic observations about land use change at a specific site. They visited the Pentridge Prison Precinct and toured the facility, learning about the history of this location.

The Pentridge Prison Precinct, located in Coburg, opened in 1851 and is a former prison that has been redeveloped into a mixed-use area combining history, culture, residential living, hospitality, and tourism.

The day provided an interesting and educational experience for the senior students involved.

Year 12s are currently studying population dynamics. This week we are consolidating our understanding of the factors that influence migration, as part of this we are playing "Jellybaby Geography".
