The Art of Suminagashi (Japanese Marbling)

Dating back to the 12th century, Suminagashi is a traditional Japanese art form that means “floating ink.” The ink spreads across water to create beautiful, swirling patterns that resemble clouds or ripples.

Students began experimenting with the materials this week and will continue to explore this ancient art form in the coming lessons.

2026 SCHOOL CHOIR HAS STARTED

Choir is Back! 🎶

Fridays at 11:40am, first half of lunch time in the Music Room (with Mr Oldham and our Karoo Music Captains)

All Year 3–6 students are warmly invited to come along and give Choir a try!

There will be an opportunity early in Term 2 to decide if you’d like to officially sign up for the year.

As always, everyone is welcome — and we love seeing students showcase their talents! Whether it’s guitar, keyboard, singing, drums, dance, drama, or more, there’s a place for you in Choir.

Come along, get involved, and have some fun! 🎤🎸
