Humanities

This week, our Year 8 Humanities students participated in an excursion to Cape Peron to investigate coastal processes and develop a deeper understanding of coastal landforms.

During the excursion, students conducted field observations to explore coastal processes such as erosion and deposition, and examined how these processes have shaped the Western Australian coastline over time.

Students recorded their findings in a fieldwork booklet, demonstrating resilience while working in a range of weather conditions throughout the week. They also developed important geographical fieldwork skills, including producing annotated sketches, collecting and organising data, and making social observations.

The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and it was rewarding to see the continued development of their geographical knowledge and fieldwork skills.
