Metro Bus Changes - Route 334

Tara Drive loop, Acton Park Route Change - Effective 2 November 2026

Route 334, which travels via Collegiate, The Friends’ School, Guilford Young College (Hobart Campus), Mount Carmel College and St Mary’s College to Howrah, Rokeby, Lauderdale, and Acton Park in the afternoon, will not travel via Tara Drive in Acton Park.

Passenger data shows that no students are getting off the bus at Tara Drive.

A decision has been made to discontinue the loop, as it adds travel time to the trip.

For any students living on Tara Drive, the nearest bus stops are located on Axiom Way. Removing the Tara Drive loop means that for any students getting off the bus past Tara Drive their travel time home is quicker. There are no changes to pick-up times.

If you have any questions, please contact Passenger Transport by email at ptfeedback@building.tas.gov.au or call (03) 6166 3343 (Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm)

Supporting Multicultural Children and Families

Gallery Image

The National Multicultural Children Scoping Project is seeking input from multicultural communities, service providers and government representatives across Australia. This important consultation will help build a stronger understanding of the needs of multicultural children aged 0-12 and identify ways to better support children and families to thrive. There are several ways to get involved and ensure Tasmanian voices are represented.

During this consultation phase, we want to hear from as many community members, services and government representatives as possible. The perspectives will help build the evidence about the needs of multicultural children aged 0-12 and how systems can better support every child and family to thrive.

More information is available on our website. You can help bring Tasmanian voices into the consultation by:

  • Organising a consultation with parents and caregivers, community leaders, young people or grassroots community organisations (we can come to a playgroup, leaders forum etc)

  • Completing the survey on our website

  • Arranging a one-on-one interview or group consultation with service providers.
