Finishing the Year With Purpose

As we begin Term 4, we are reminded that the way we finish a journey is just as important as the way we begin. This final term is an opportunity for our students to reflect on how far they have come, celebrate their achievements and continue to grow as learners and as individuals.

At Mount Carmel College, we encourage our students to approach the term with resilience, focus and optimism. There will be opportunities to demonstrate learning, take on new challenges, strengthen friendships and celebrate the many experiences that make up a school year. There will also be moments that require perseverance, when things feel difficult or when progress takes time. It is in these moments that our students can demonstrate their capacity to keep going, learn from mistakes and approach challenges with a positive mindset.

Consistent effort makes a difference. Attending school regularly, being prepared for learning, listening carefully, asking questions and completing tasks to the best of one's ability are all important habits that support success. Just as importantly, students need to take responsibility for their choices, their learning and the contribution they make to our College community.

For our older students, Term 4 is an opportunity to reflect on their growth and consider the legacy they wish to leave. For our younger students, it is a chance to consolidate new skills, build confidence and recognise how much they have learned. Every student, regardless of age or stage, has the opportunity to make meaningful progress.

Our College theme, To Bloom We Will…, reminds us that growth looks different for everyone. We do not all bloom at the same time, and progress is not always measured by the biggest achievement or the highest result. Sometimes, growth is found in the courage to try something new, the determination to improve, the kindness shown to another person or the willingness to try again after a setback.

As we move through the final nine weeks of the school year, I encourage every student to set a goal, embrace each learning opportunity and take pride in the effort they bring to each day. Let us celebrate not only the outcomes we achieve, but also the commitment, courage and character that help us get there.

Enrolments for 2028

Planning ahead for 2028? We encourage families who are considering Mount Carmel College for their daughter to submit an enrolment application as soon as possible, particularly for Kindergarten and Year 7, where interest is already strong and places are filling quickly. Early applications help us plan for the year ahead and ensure families have the opportunity to be part of our welcoming learning community.

If you have friends or family considering Mount Carmel for 2028, please encourage them to contact our College Office to discuss the enrollment process.

Join Our College Fair Committee!

Planning is beginning for our next College Fair, and we are looking for enthusiastic parents and members of our community to join the Fair Committee. The Fair is a wonderful opportunity to bring our Mount Carmel community together, celebrate our College and create a memorable event for our students and families. Whether you have experience organising events, enjoy sharing ideas or simply have a little time to contribute, we would love to hear from you. Our first committee meeting will take place next month, and all interested volunteers are warmly encouraged to get involved.

If you would like to be part of the team, please contact the College Office to register your interest. Every contribution makes a difference, and we look forward to working together to make our next Fair a great success!
