Lions Club Public Speaking Final
Congratulations to Billy Lees who competed in the District Final of the Lions Club Junior Public Speaking Competition last Sunday. Billy competed against other finalists who, like him, had won through from the school competitions, local Lions Club final and Zone/Regional Final. Billy, we are so incredibly proud of you and you represented our school, town and region so well.
Book Week Celebrations
Last week was Book Week and we celebrated this day on Friday. It was so wonderful to see our students (and staff) arrive at school in their costumes. Students were excited to parade at the conclusion of our whole-school assembly. The middle session of the day was spent by students participating in 4 x 30 minute activities, each focussing on a book. Thank you to families for supporting this day by ensuring your child/ren had a costume and for coming along to watch our parade.
Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Carer Opinion Survey offered by the Department of Education and is seeking your feedback. The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. The survey is optional, but we encourage and appreciate your participation.
Some of our families will have received a survey link and unique PIN so that they can participate in this year's survey (sent out two weeks ago) If you require a new link and PIN please contact the office and we can arrange this for you.
Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.
The Parent / Carer Opinion Survey will be open online from Monday 17 August to Friday 18 September 2026.
Father's Day
Wishing all of the dads, grandads and caregivers that have a "dad" role, a very happy Father's Day on Sunday. It was great to see so many of you at our annual bacon and egg breakfast this morning.
That's all for this week, Lisa Duffy
