Celebrating Book Week at EPS

Earlier this term, EPS came alive with the excitement of Book Week! It was wonderful to see our students, staff and families come together to celebrate the magic of books, reading and storytelling. From creative costumes and favourite stories to enthusiastic book shopping, there was plenty of excitement across the school.

A huge thank you to our wonderful parents and carers for supporting the celebrations – helping create fantastic costumes, joining us for the Book Parade, reading favourite books with our Prep students and supporting our Book Fair. Your involvement helped make the week so special!

A Parade Full of Imagination

This year’s Book Week theme, ‘A Symphony of Stories’, encouraged everyone to step into the pages of their favourite books and explore new worlds. Our Book Parade was a wonderful way to finish the week, with students and staff showcasing an amazing array of characters, magical creatures, heroes and creative interpretations.

Our Year 6 Leaders played an important role in hosting the parade and had the very difficult task of selecting the winning costumes. With so many fantastic entries, judging was certainly no easy task!

Well done to all our winners, and to everyone who embraced the spirit of Book Week. Every costume added something special to our celebration.

Our Wonderful Book Fair

The Book Week fun continued in our Library, which was transformed into a little bookstore for our annual Book Fair. With the support of our local bookstore, Avenue Bookstore, students browsed a fantastic range of picture books, novels, non-fiction, humour, comics and plenty of exciting new titles.

Classes had the opportunity to visit the Book Fair and create a wish list of books they would love to take home. It was wonderful to see students exploring new titles, sharing their recommendations and discovering stories and authors to enjoy.

A very big thank you to our EPS families for supporting the Book Fair. Your generosity means we will receive a percentage voucher from Avenue Bookstore, allowing us to add even more exciting new books to our classrooms and Library.

Book Week 2026 was a fantastic celebration of books, creativity and imagination at EPS. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a success. We look forward to many more reading adventures throughout the year!
