Units 3 & 4 VCD Excursion

Our Units 3 & 4 Visual Communication Design students recently travelled into the city for an inspiring excursion to Top Designs, Top Arts and MPavilion.
Throughout the day, students explored a range of outstanding VCE folios, exhibitions and creative works showcasing some of the best emerging design and artistic talent from across Victoria. The experience provided valuable insight into the creative process, including idea generation, experimentation, presentation techniques and folio development.
Students were particularly inspired by the innovative and thought-provoking work on display at Top Designs and Top Arts, gaining a deeper understanding of how designers and artists communicate ideas through visual language, materials and technology.
The visit to MPavilion offered students the opportunity to experience contemporary architecture and design in a dynamic public space. The MPavilion is Tadao Ando’s only building in the Southern Hemisphere, providing a unique opportunity for students to explore how design can shape human interaction and community engagement, while considering the role of architecture within Melbourne’s cultural landscape.
The excursion was a fantastic opportunity for students to gather inspiration, expand their creative thinking and reflect on their own folio work as they continue developing their projects throughout the year.
