Primary District Cross Country

On Wednesday 7th May, Lakeside College sent a team of excited and for some, also very nervous, Year 3 to 6 athletes to compete in the Pakenham District Cross County event.

All of our students should be proud of their efforts in representing the College.

A special congratulations to both Rihaan P (10th) and Mikaela V (7th) who have qualified for the Cardinia Division Cross Country Championships to be held next week.

A special thanks to our secondary helpers who assisted in the running of the district event by coming along and being marshalls for the day. Without event helpers like our students, competition days like this aren’t possible.

Secondary Netball

Congratulations to our Year 7, Year 8 & Intermediate Netball Teams!

A massive well done to all of our amazing players who represented our school with pride and determination at the recent interschool netball competition!

Each team showed fantastic teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship throughout the day, you all gave it your all and made us incredibly proud.

Thank you to the coaches, supporters and everyone who helped make the day such a success. Win or lose, your hard work and commitment truly shone on the court.

Year 7 Netball

My name is Goamar, and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Year 7 Girls Netball competition. It was an exciting opportunity to compete against a range of schools. The event was well-organized, with a spacious stadium that accommodated multiple schools, and a canteen offering a variety of food. During the competition, I had the chance to play in several positions and had lots of fun playing against other schools.

Year 8 Netball

On Monday the 12th of May some of the Year 8 girls went out on a bus to Casey stadium to play other schools in a games of netball.

These girls were nervous and very excited, they had been training for a while and were hoping that all their hard work would pay off. They get ready for there first game and at the sound of the whistle they start playing running up and down the court catching and throwing the ball scoring goals. It was incredible to watch. After lots of hard and tiring playing it was time for lunch. We had delicious food and trained during lunch. We then got ready to play again. Before we knew it our fun day was over and we were piling back on the bus. As we were sitting in the bus we sat together talking about our successful games. Although we didn't win all our games we still had a very fun time.
