NEWS FROM THE CREATIVE ARTS DEPARTMENT!
This term we are gearing up for our first ART SHOW fundraiser!
Thursday September 12th 5-8pm! We have been working so hard and can’t wait to showcase our beautiful visual artworks and our performance skills! Artwork will be available for purchase, with all proceeds going towards the St Columba’s Literacy Program.
We firmly believe that the Arts play a pivotal role in nurturing your child's holistic development at St. Columba's. The centrality of the arts in the lives of children is key to developing entrepreneurship, social intelligence, innovation and critical thinking. These skills are essential in preparing students for future study and careers in the 21st century.
According to global research there is a direct link between an arts-rich education from an early age and an increase in students’ confidence, their intellectual abilities across all learning areas, including problem-solving and life skills.
Please look out for the Art Show updates via email and Compass!
To ensure the show is a great success, we need your HELP PLEASE!! If you have a spare hour or 3 please add your name to this volunteer sign up sheet:
