Kilvonians gather for the monthly Walking Club

Bianca Lapins, Community Relations Officer

Throughout 2025 it has been wonderful to welcome past students back to Kilvington to their scheduled reunions. Seeing classmates with a shared history reconnect, relive old times and catch up with one another is a joy and helps to achieve our mission of building a community of former students who enjoy and contribute to Kilvington’s rich culture of connection, relationships and care.

Our Kilvonian Walking Club and The Kilvingtones Vocal Ensemble continued to bring Kilvonian together from across the ages, and we were delighted to once again offer a special group booking discount for an afternoon at the theatre.

With plenty more events, initiatives and opportunities to connect planned for 2026, our alumni community is going from strength to strength. Head to the 2026 Reunion Dates page in this newsletter for more details or head to the Kilvonian Alumni website at alumni.kilvington.vic.edu.au.

To the Class of 2025

My advice to young Kilvington graduates is simple, follow what inspires you, even if you haven’t figured out exactly what that is. Every experience you gain, big or small, will help shape your path.

If you have the chance, travel. Immerse yourself in new cultures and perspectives. You’ll return with a clearer sense of who you are and what you want from life.

And always remember the bigger picture. It’s easy to get caught up in the pursuit of getting into the “right” course or nailing the perfect job interview, but take the time to pause and ask yourself: What are my long-term goals, and will this step help me achieve them?

If there is one thing that my studies and work have taught me, it's that you can achieve whatever your heart truly desires, and that there is more than one way to get there.
