Event: Senior Volleyball

Coach: Mr Barker

Mr Barker and our Year 11/12 Girls and Boys headed to Eagle Stadium to compete in the very popular Volleyball tournament.

The Senior Girls had amazing success, winning all of their games, and being crowned victors of the tournament! Chloe Ryan, Aspen Bosnjakovic and Raquel Grey served as leaders throughout the day, however, the entire team worked amazingly with each other. Their communication was positive and constructive, always striving for greatness.

The Senior Boys team found success also, achieving 3rd on the day. Their competition was very fierce and rigorous. Morrisham Teariki was amazing, providing the team with hydration and inspiration between sets and games. Brendan Pham and Eh Nay Tha were leaders showcasing their positive communication in ensuring everyone was focused on the team objectives.

Senior Girls are now heading to Leisuretime Geelong on Monday 13th May to face off at the Western Metro Region event.

Great job all! 😊

Event: Senior AFL

Coach: Mr Brown

Mr Brown and Senior Year 11/12 Boys headed out to Wooten Road Reserve where they faced off in the much-anticipated AFL competition.

This is one of the boys’ favourite competitions on the calendar, and competition was fierce.

The boys started well and kept this for much of the day. Winning all of their 'pool games' and facing off in the Grand Final. A small lapse of focus and concentration, lead to their defeat, losing by 2 goals.

Rhys Mcintosh, Josh Mcintosh, Hayden Spall, Michael Ivanina and Max Houston all proved very efficient and effective in their respective positions.

A great day, filled with a lot of success.

Great job all! 😊

Event: Senior Netball

Coach: Mr Barker

Mr Barker and Senior Year 11/12 Boys and Girls headed to Eagle Stadium where they competed in the Netball competition.

The Girls started off well, finding their feet in delivering the ball to the effective Indiana Williams (GS) and Teaghan Freeman (GA). Tiah Olcorn and Tamika Coggan lead from the front in the Centre position whilst Mariyah Kelly was lethal on the defence (GD).

Emily Nolton, Nalissa Rogers, Brandy Bankuti, Hannah Macdonald and Harmoni Fonua played well, working tirelessly for periods of time and providing energy for when it was needed most.

The girls found success in winning 1 game against a quality opponent, finishing 4th on the day.

The Boys started off with some immense pace, coming out the blocks very fast. Their ball movement was very quick, enabling the shooting prowess of Jamie Lockwood to shine. Their athleticism was prominent in the early stages of the day.

The boys found success in also winning 1 game against a quality opponent, finishing 4th on the day.

Great job all! 😊
