Stockyard Hill Wind Farm Grants

At the end of Term 1, Stockyard Hill Wind Farm held an event to formally present grants to a range of community organisations. Henry and Lyla did a great job of representing our school (and most importantly, getting an oversized novelty cheque).

We received our grant of $9030 to complete the garden beds and seating near the basketball court, as well as to provide resources for our Hands On Learning students to build a garden bed outside the Year 5/6 classrooms.

We also spoke to staff from the wind farm about organising a visit later in the year. They're keen for our students to see how the wind farm operates and possibly inspire some future engineers to work there when they're older.
