ARTS

Just before the end of last term, we were invited to visit the Yayoi Kusama exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria. Rachel from the gallery, introduced us to the artwork and the life of Kusama.  We were then able to enjoy the paintings, sculptures, installations and experience rooms in the main exhibition.

Many thanks to the the NGV for allowing us to visit this exciting and major exhibition cost free, our Christian's bus driver for his safe driving, the teaching staff who accompanied the excursion and most importantly, our Year 5/6 students. Your interest, enthusiasm, manners and consideration for the other patrons made the day a huge success.

This week, students across the different year levels have been working exploring the Elements of Art. Our focus was exploring 'Line'. Senior classes worked with charcoal, whilst younger year levels explored drawing and painting different lines to create shapes, patterns and designs.
