Senior School Report

Senior School News

The second half of Term 1 in Senior School has flown by, jam-packed with excursions,  camps, performances, fundraisers, meetings and SACs. Outdoor Education students had an amazing time and made us proud at their camp; school bands shone at the PAC fundraiser at Shotkickers and then again at the Whole School Assembly, as well as at the Hume Central School bands showcase. For those students still waiting, the second order of jackets is due May 2nd.

The Senior Formal fundraising committee staged a BBQ and Boba tea sale, which was a massive success and raised over $700, to subsidise the cost of Formal tickets. Speaking of the formal, the venue and DJ are now locked in and students are busy shopping for outfits and make up, hair and nails inspiration.  Leadership badges have been given out and students are stepping into titled and situational leadership roles with confidence and purpose.

Academically, students settled in very quickly and have been working hard, comparing notes, supporting each other, sitting SACs, reflecting on their work and celebrating each other’s achievements all whilst strategising to get the best possible results from their VCE and VCE VM.

Our most sincere thanks go out to Dr. Livesey who attended a special ceremony for senior students at the school with his wife Cathie, to present our three highest achieving students of 2025 with his award for academic excellence. Dr. Livesey is a proud alumnus of Reservoir High School who has gone on to achieve great success in his life due to his belief in the power of hard work and academic diligence. His ongoing support has made a great deal of difference to our students as they pursue work and study after graduating Reservoir High School. Congratulations to Aqeel Hussain, Vivien Tang and Makayla Terzino.

Thanks to all the teachers and parents who have supported our students to find their feet in VCE and VCE VM. We’re looking forward to even greater growth and enthusiasm for learning next term.

On a personal note, I have recently stepped into the leading role at Senior school and have felt extremely proud and grateful to be part of such a strong and supportive community.
