Junior School – Newsletter Report end of term 1

Wow!! Term 1 has been action packed for our Junior Students. Well done to all students on your positive attitudes and hard work. Enjoy a well-deserved break!!

Fair Go Sports day was a fantastic day that was well attended by the Junior Students. It was great to see students competing in familiar events and learning new skills and techniques. Well done to all competitors and good luck to those who are going through to the District level.

Year 7 Scholarships Assembly occurred in week 8, where we acknowledged the 2026 Year 7 Scholarship recipients. Each recipient invited their parents and a friend to the Assembly, where is was great to hear about the achievements of our students. The students were also presented with Certificates at the whole school assembly. Congratulations to: Bernie, Emma, Aidan, Freddy, Nadia, Imogen, Alia and Vivika on their Scholarships. 

The IMPACT program this term has focused on Respectful Relationships and Visible Wellbeing. Students have been working through modules like Strengths, Emotional Regulation and Coping Strategies. 

Year 7 students completed NAPLAN in weeks 7 and 8. The online tests covered Literacy, Numeracy and Science. All students worked hard to do their best. 

House Games in IMPACT was an amazing way to complete the term 1 IMPACT program. Students competed in their houses in range of games to earn points. Games included Keepie Uppie, River Cross, Water Relays and Form a Letter. Students were encouraged to show leadership and initiatives, as they worked together and solved problems. Congratulations to Year 7 – Darebin and Year 8 – Plenty, who were year level winners.
