We have made a great start to our Swimming program. Everyone is having a great time, and learning some new swimming skills. 

In Maths we have covered Angles and Money in these last two weeks. Angles was a fun one - we found angles in the classroom, made angles with icy pole sticks to compare and order from acute to obtuse, and found angles in our names. 

We have started a short poetry unit in Writing, starting strong with Haikus. It was tricky to find words and sentences that followed the 5-7-5 syllable pattern. We made our first Haiku nature based, and then we wrote our own 'free choice' Haiku. This week we are writing Colour poems. 

In Reading we have looked into text structures of non fiction texts, cause and effect and descriptive language in non fiction. This week we are learning to ask and answer questions are we read, and how this can make us stronger readers.
