Principal's Reports

Swimming Program:

Our students are doing a wonderful job at the swimming program and we are seeing the benefits of them having a yearly program. Their behaviour has been exceptional and the swimming teachers have complimented them on their efforts and participation. A huge thankyou to all of the parents that have been able to come along and encourage the children and support with the change rooms.

Suggestion Box:

At our recent SRC meeting the students went through all of the suggestions made by students and sorted them into which ideas they could influence, which they couldn't and which they thought were a priority. The suggestions SRC are going to keep discussing are: more job opportunities for students, seats for the token shop runners, improvements to the playgrounds, higher drinking taps for the 3 to 6 students, netball rings, more sports equipment and new locks for the toilet doors. They have also helped to have input into suggestions for a grant application for refurbished toilets. The main priority for the students was to have doors that provide privacy - no gaps between the doors, no space to look under and no way to look over the walls and doors.

Art displays:

If you haven't parked in the gravel car park recently, it's worth taking the time to enjoy the colourful displays of student work on the Art room windows. 

Car Park Reminder:

A reminder about our school policy when collecting children after school. Students are not allowed to cross the car park on their own and must be accompanied by an adult. Recently, we've had a few occasions where adults have waited in the car and children have crossed the car park on their own. This creates a safety risk and if seen, children will be asked to wait until an adult gets out of the car to collect them.
