R U OK? DAY AT KSC

Thanks to Georgia K (Year 11) who designed the above poster as part of her Visual Communications project to recognise R U OK? Day.

On Thursday 11th September, people all over Australia are taking a moment to connect, reflect, and ask a simple yet powerful question: "Are you OK?"

Since the first R U OK? Day in 2009, this initiative has grown from a single day of awareness into a national movement — encouraging year-round conversations about mental health, connection, and support. The heart of the message is simple: a conversation can change a life.

At KSC, we proudly joined the movement on Thursday, with staff showing their support by wearing a splash of yellow — a bright and visible reminder of the importance of checking in with those around us.

R U OK? Day is more than a campaign; it’s a call to action for us all to listen, connect, and support one another through life’s ups and downs. By taking the time to ask meaningful questions and genuinely listen, we help create a caring and connected community where everyone feels safe, seen, and supported.

Let’s continue the conversation — not just today, but every day.
