NAPLAN For Y3 and Y5

NAPLAN is a nationwide assessment conducted across Australia, undertaken by students in Years 3, 5, 7, and 9.

At Beaufort Primary School, we utilise NAPLAN as one of several assessment tools to support our teaching and learning programs.  We try not to put pressure on the students to be the best, but simply do their best.

It is really important that students in Year 3 and 5 be at school by 9.00am on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week, allowing them maximum time on each assessment.

Parents and Friends Meeting

Parents and Friends will be holding their first meeting the Friday 6th March at 9.00am in the staff room.

Parents and Friends is a great opportunity to get involved in the and help support raise funds for the school.

We are looking for new parents to come and share their ideas and expertise.

Our first event is the Annual Colour Fun Run, which is a student favourite.

Even if you can not commit to helping at every event, any support is greatly

House Athletics Day

Tuesday 10th March

This coming Tuesday, weather permitting, we will be holding our House Athletics Day. Students will arrive at school as normal and will walk across to the football oval to take part.

Parents and special people are very welcome to attend and support.

We ask that students please bring their own lunches on the day, as the timetable of events can change throughout the day and we do not have the flexibility on waiting on lunch to be delivered.

Students are encouraged to wear their house colours, either a t-shirt, ribbons etc., as well as enough snacks and drinks for the day.

Sunscreen will be available throughout the day and students will be reminded to reapply regularly.

School Photos

School Council Elections

The election processed closed today at 4.00pm, however, we are still looking for some more parents or community members to join our school council.

School Council runs on every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 6.30pm.

You do not need to take on an official role, just come along and be a member, learn more about the running of the school and help make important decisions.

Please come and see me if you are interested in learning more, or simply come along to our next meeting, Tuesday 10th March at 6.30pm.
