16 Years in a Row!

Wow, what a day! It started a little bumpy with the bus running late, but on arrival, students quickly adjusted to the new indoor environment where the EISM Div 1 carnival was to be held. Our students were organised and prepared, thanks to numerous early morning trainings, and showed up on the day prepared to push their limits. And so they did…Peter D broke the record for U14 Boys Breaststroke and later with Chris L, Jamie W and Louka Z broke the U14 Boys Medly Relay record.

With splashing and cheering, nervous parents and excited teachers, we worked our way through the swimming events to come away with an amazing haul. Huntingtower walked away with the overall trophy winning Div 1 EISM Swimming for the 16th year in a row!

Was it possible to achieve even more than previous years? The answer is YES. We took the Girls and Boys Aggregate trophies by winning 7 of the 10 age group pennents on offer. Wow! To celebrate the occasion, the EISM team had a special lunch together to acknowledge the fine achievements of the entire team. Well done Huntingtower swim team, you deserve every accolade.

Record Breakers!

Congratulations to Peter D who broke the U14 Boys 50m Breaststroke EISM record! The original record was from 2002 at a final time of 34.39. Peter completed the swim at a final time of 34.39.

A second congratulations goes to Peter D, alongside Jamie W, Christopher L and Louka Z who broke the U14 Boys 200m Medley Relay EISM record! The original record was set by the 2014 Huntingtower EISM team at a finals time of 2:10.28. The relay team set a new finals time of 2:10.18.
