From the Principal

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear," (John 4:18).

This Bulletin captures just a glimpse of the many accomplishments and activities our students have engaged in this term. Huntingtower is truly abuzz with the vibrant energy of our students, it is a place brimming with opportunities.

Last Friday, the music department graced the lawn outside the Orchestral Room with the Autumn Concert. With over 250 students singing or playing an instrument, accompanied by 500 supporters, our grounds were indeed "alive with the sound of music."  This term, our students shone in Swimming and Athletics Carnivals, with our EISM Swimming Team sweeping the Girls, Boys and Overall Division 1 Champion divisions.

Meanwhile, our Debating teams are fully represented at every level in the Mount Waverley Division, our Chess teams are diligently preparing for their tournaments and plans for House Performing Arts are well under way. The term was further enriched with Residential Programs, the Year 9 Triathlon, Kindness Day and a Bruce House Colour run. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all our students for the boundless energy they bring to our community.

As we transition into the holiday period, I wish to extend the love and promise that the Easter story brings to our entire community. The resurrection of Christ reminds us of the renewal of life and the endless opportunities that lie before us. It is a powerful testament to hope and the potential for new beginnings, making Easter Sunday a celebration of joy and renewal.

In the words of Mary Baker Eddy, "I love the Easter service: it speaks to me of Life, and not of death" (Mis 177:21 – 180:19).

As we pause and reflect on the term that has passed, I extend my warmest wishes to all our families for a safe and restful holiday break. I eagerly look forward to welcoming our students back, ready to embark on what promises to be an even more engaging and productive Term 2. Together, may we continue to create a nurturing environment where every student can thrive and excel.
