News on the Swimming Sports 2026

Swimming sports for 2026 will look a little different to previous years. Due to the Bairnsdale Outdoor Pool closure this summer, we will not be able to run a whole school Swimming Carnival. Instead, we will run swimming qualification trials at the BARC in week 3 of Term 1, to have the chance to compete for a ribbon and house points. These will also be our qualifying races for district level swimming as usual, so we encourage students to give it a go. 

The sign-up link is on Compass news feed where you can put your name, year level, house and races you wish to compete in. We will advertise again early at the start of Term 1 for the benefit of Year 7 and other new students plus anyone else who have been motivated to train over the summer break. At this stage, we are planning to introduce some other fun and social activities for our staff and students to participate in throughout the year, so stay tuned.
