Inquiry - How are our choices influenced by digital technologies?

We went on an excursion to ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image). We could animate by making small movements to characters and taking a photo. By repeating this pattern we made an animation. Our group made a video of a tiger knight soccer player shooting a ball and hitting the unicorn. By doing this, we cooperated to make the animation. Next up we went to the exhibition where they had miniatures and cool games and displays we could interact with, like when we spun the zoetrope we saw an animation of a girl playing with a ball. My favourite one was the big zoetrope that spun really really fast and started flashing which made it look like it was moving by itself. - Prnvat

We went on an excursion to the ACMI museum in the city which was really fun and we learned how technology works and we also learned about animations and 3D animations. We also made our own films 🎥. We played a lot of video games and saw a lot of optical illusions which were really fun to see. We also saw how they work. - Rudra

English - Persuasive Texts and ‘A Ghost in My Suitcase’

In 6D, English is the subject that includes writing and reading. Writing is a thing we use for later life, or things we really want (being persuasive). And in reading, we try to be more fluent in reading books. So we tried to do it in our class when we read ‘A Ghost in My Suitcase’. In writing we are learning the structure and how to write a persuasive essay. This essay encourages you to investigate your family history. We put in reinforcements and reasoning. We strive to thrive in writing a persuasive essay eager to have knowledge about family history. We got to learn about gratitude and how our ancestors strived for success for the future (right now, us). - Ayaan
