Collect Cans - Collect Cash!

Donate your containers or bring them to school!

ENPS Green Team is raising money to help keep our school green by collecting drink containers for the 10 cent container deposit scheme. Some of you may already be doing this at home. Each container brought in can be recycled for a 10 cent refund. We are raising money to plant more trees and plants around our school. We need the donations for soil, garden beds and gardening equipment. Our goal is to raise $850 by the end of the year.

How it works:

🌱 Collect bottles and cans at home - look for the 10c refund label to check if they’re eligible.

🌱 Return containers to Reverse Vending Machines

• The closest to ENPS are Essendon DFO, Essendon Fields Central, Highpoint Shopping Centre, Coles Avondale Heights and Oak Park Sports & Aquatic.

🌱 Use the CDS - West App to donate to our fundraising campaign “Collect Cans - Collect Ca$h”

🌱 You can also bring the containers to school in a box or bag and give them to your Classroom Green Team Leader, who will then pass them on to a Green Team Teacher’s classroom. 

🌱 Earn & Grow – The money we raise will go towards buying and propagating plants for classrooms, as well as other green team projects for the year. 

Your support will help make our school greener and more sustainable.

A few tips:

• Don't crush your containers or the machine may not accept them.

• Lids can be left on.

• Make sure you always store glass safely.

• Beware of sharp edges on cans.

• We will not be accepting alcohol containers at school.

• Make sure to check for the 10 cent mark.
