We congratulate Mrs Clapham (formerly Miss Bonner) on her wedding last weekend. The students in Year 4 loved being able to celebrate her and have a class party in the lead up to the special day. We wish Mrs Clapham and her husband Regan all the happiness in the world.
It was wonderful to see so many Grandparents and special people here today to celebrate Grandparents Day.
We hope that everyone has an enjoyable and safe long weekend. We will see everyone back on Wednesday 4th November.
In Science, we have been completing chemical science experiments. Last week, students created baths bombs and this week students learned about fermentation. They placed sugar, yeast and warm water into a bottle to see what would happen to the ballon that was on top of the bottle.
Year 3
We are continuing to read and learn about the text Charlotte’s Web. The students have been applying all their knowledge during SpellEx lessons, and this was clear in our last assessment where the Average of the whole cohort was 90%. 👏
This week for Maths, we have explored Money and learned how to count up to give correct change. A wonderful life skill to know!
Year 4
In literacy, students have continued to write their persuasive piece on having a robot at home. They have also been reading the novel The Wild Robot.
In math, students have finished the unit on 3D shapes. The next unit is on Probability where students will learn about chance experiments and look at dependent and independent events.
