Charlebois Wins House Badminton Championship

The second annual House Badminton Championship was held on Tuesday, with strong competition, close matches and plenty of House spirit on display throughout the day.

Following Mazenod’s success in ACC Badminton during Term 2, where the College claimed five ACC titles, the House tournament gave students another opportunity to compete, represent their House and contribute to the growing strength of badminton at Mazenod.

Charlebois finished the day as champions, defeating MacKillop 5-4 in a highly entertaining Grand Final.

A special thank you to Old Collegians Raphael Lydra (MOC2023) and Huey Ng (MOC2024), who did an excellent job organising teams and match-ups throughout the tournament. Raphael also presented the Raphael Lydra Medal to Patrick (Year 10), who was named MVP for the day.

Congratulations to Charlebois, Patrick, and all students who took part in a successful second year of the House Badminton Championship.

ACC Table Tennis Success

A fantastic week for Mazenod Table Tennis, with multiple ACC Premierships claimed across the year levels.

Congratulations to our Year 7 Division 1, Year 8 Division 1, Year 8 Division 2, Year 9, Year 10 and Senior teams on winning their Grand Finals. Our Senior team continued its remarkable record in ACC Table Tennis, claiming its 14th Senior Premiership since 2004, and its third consecutive title.

Congratulations also to Immanuel (Year 11), who was voted Best Player in the Senior Grand Final. Well done to all players, coaches and staff involved in a brilliant week for Mazenod Table Tennis.

House Cross Country

The 35th annual Mazenod House Cross Country took place last week, with students from across the College competing for individual placings and house points. Congratulations to our year level placegetters:

In the overall House results, Charlebois claimed their ninth Cross Country title, finishing ahead of Anthony and Chisholm.

Year 9 City Days

Year 9 City Days recently took place as part of the Outdoor Education program.Beginning at Federation Square, groups moved through a series of activities across Melbourne, exploring historical and cultural attractions while building independence, responsibility and teamwork. The experience offered a purposeful break from routine and a practical way to connect with the city beyond the classroom.
