Festival of Bands - Tuesday 26 August
We are very excited for one of our best Band events on the calendar. This is a wonderful opportunity for our Roselea Bands to join together and play with the more experienced bands at Carlingford High School. The day consists of a whole-day workshop with Carlingford HS bands and Roselea’s CB & JB, with TB joining in the massed Band rehearsal around lunchtime, followed by the evening performance held at Carlingford HS with ALL bands performing. Please complete the permission form on School Bytes.

Joining the Band Committee
At the end of 2025, we will be saying goodbye to some very key people within the Committee. The Band Program at Roselea Public School is run by the Roselea Public School Band Subcommittee (which comes under the Roselea PS Parents and Citizens Association). The office bearers (Convenor, Secretary and Treasurer) of the Subcommittee are elected at the P&C Annual General Meeting. The Subcommittee is involved in organising the appointment of the Band Director and tutors, finances, music, instruments, band camp and performances.

- Invoicing and receipting for band fees, instrument hire, and band camp
- Payment of band-related expenses (e.g. band director fees, instrument servicing)
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Prepares annual budget
- Must be a Vice President (VP) of the P&C due to financial responsibilities
Music Officer
- Purchases required sheet music
- Organises and distributes music to bands
- Makes copies in accordance with Copyright Act restrictions
Email/Membership Secretary (Vacant)

Instrument Coordinator (Vacant)

Band Camp Coordinator (Vacant)

In addition, a number of other parents are required to volunteer their time to assist in organising events such as the band camp.
Feel free to contact the committee if you have questions about any of these positions. We look forward to seeing many new parents on the Subcommittee next year.
