PBL Focus: Bullying No Way Week

Our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) focus for the next fortnight will be on Bullying No Way Week. During this time, we will be highlighting the importance of respectful and inclusive behaviour throughout our school community to ensure that every student feels safe, supported, and valued.

Our key objectives will include:

  • Helping students understand what bullying is—and what it is not.
  • Empowering students to be bold in standing up for themselves and others in safe and respectful ways.
  • Encouraging students to be kind in their words and actions, recognising the impact small gestures can have.
  • Supporting students to speak up if they see or experience unkind behaviour, and know how to report concerns.
  • Reinforcing the importance of respectful behaviour both in person and online.

This year’s theme is Be Bold. Be Kind. Speak Up.

This theme highlights that everyone has a role to play in stopping bullying. Everyone is encouraged to create safe spaces where all voices are heard, everyone feels supported, and respect is at the heart of our community.

Each day of the week will focus on a different part of the theme:

  • Day 1 – Be Bold: You have the power to help
  • Day 2 – Be Kind: Small actions make a big impact
  • Day 3 – Speak Up: Speak up against bullying
  • Day 4 – Think before you post or speak
  • Day 5 – Together, we can stop bullying: A whole-community approach

Together, we can help our students understand the significance of their actions and the role they play in creating a respectful and safe learning environment.
