ACC Inclusive Sports Swimming Carnival

Nineteen students proudly represented Lumen at the recent ACC ISP Swimming Carnival held at Claremont Pool. The day offered a fun and inclusive program with students taking part in a mixture of individual swimming races, strollo polo (walking water polo), and energetic relay events.
Although it was a sunny day, the chilly conditions didn’t dampen spirits. Students participated to the best of their ability, showing determination, resilience, and enthusiasm in every event. There were some fantastic individual achievements, with highlights including Danny placing first in the 50m freestyle and Janelle taking first place in the 25m backstroke both outstanding efforts that were celebrated by their peers.
What stood out most, however, was the strong sense of sportsmanship on display. When not competing, students actively supported and encouraged one another, cheering from the sidelines and celebrating every effort, not just the wins.
Throughout the day, our students acted at the highest level, demonstrating respect, teamwork, and pride. They represented the College with distinction, making the carnival a memorable and successful experience for all involved.
